Pendar Book Club is a non-political, non-religious bilingual book club, based in Houston TX. The membership is free. The sessions are held, tentatively, on first Sunday of every month. This event is an opportunity for members of the Iranian community to come together and discuss issues that we deal with as Iranian-Americans. The purpose of this event is to expose each other to different perspectives and ideas through an open panel discussion. We will be watching: Pesar Tehrooni (a comedy drama) Soroush Tehrani recently came back from America and his dad is pressuring him to get married. But due to his 5 failed relationships, he doesn't want to marry. His dad threatens him to get married and in the process he meets a girl. We will be having tea, sweets and snacks as usual so, if you are interested in joining us for a fun, relaxing and insightful event, please RSVP by emailing us at iamatxstudents@gmail.com or through our facebook event page.
