News: 2009 Nowruz Festival Financial Report April 25, 2009
The Persian New Year festival, hosted by ICF on Sunday, March 22, 2009, attracted more than 3500 Iranian-Americans. Nowruz festival was held at one of Houston's most prestigious parks, Discovery Green, from 1 PM to 9 PM.
ICF Board of Directors approved a $45,000 budget for this year's New Year festival and the actual cost to host the festival was $42,724.70. About half of the cost was covered by the admission ticket sales, and the other half was provided by 27 sponsors (businesses and individuals).
